Hello everyone! In today’s blog post, I will be reviewing the Becca Cosmetics and Jaclyn Hill collaboration highlighter in the shade “Champagne Pop”. If you don’t already know who Jaclyn Hill is then you’ve probably been living under a rock! Jaclyn Hill is a makeup artist and famous beauty content creator on YouTube (you can watch here videos HERE). I have been a fan of Jaclyn for a long time, and when her highlighter collaboration with Becca Cosmetics released a few years ago I was not interested in purchasing it, but of course after hearing every YouTuber rave about the product I wanted to try it out for myself. For the past year and a half I have been telling myself that I would purchase the highlighter but always put it off because I was spending my money on other things. Luckily, this past month was my birthday and for my birthday two of my close friends purchased the highlighter for me which I was so happy about and never expected! I would like to thank my friends for this highlighter because it would have taken me probably another year (or more) to get myself to actually purchase it. Anyways, enough of me rambling let’s get into the actual review!

Formula/Review/Swatches:
I have to start off by saying that I absolutely LOVE this highlight! It is the perfect shade for my medium skin tone but I believe it will look beautiful on all skin tones or if you mix it with another highlight. The best way I can describe the shade/colour of this highlight is that it is a champagne highlight with some pink/gold reflects. When I apply it to my skin I personally only see the gold reflects but in the pan you can see the pink reflects. I wear my makeup for about 6 – 8 hours a day and this highlight seems to stay put throughout the time period. If you apply it wet or over a cream highlight I have noticed that it lasts longer and does not fade as quickly. When you swatch the highlight it does not necessarily give you a “sheen” it’s more so a sparkly highlight but without the chunky glitter. I have heard stories of this particular highlight being very sensitive and easily cracking, fortunately for me I have had no problem with it so far but have noticed a little cracking texture but nothing too serious. My highlighter is still in excellent condition. Overall, I think this is the perfect everyday highlight. I have been wearing it everyday since I got it and will continue to wear it until I find another highlight that beats it! I would recommend it if you want to try a highlight that is an “in between shade” of a gold and white highlight, or if you’re a makeup junkie and would like to add this highlighter collaboration to your collection.
I hope you enjoyed today’s blog post! Let me know if you have tried the Becca Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill “Champagne Pop” highlighter or if you plan on purchasing it!
Until next time,
